º Physicochemical Propertied: White amorphous powder, smell-less and nontoxic. It is soluble in acid and ammonium salt solution, difficult wo dissolve in water, and insoluble in alcohol. And can be changed into crystal by high-temperature buring abouve 1000, and into dead-burned magnesium oxide or sintered magnesium oxide above 1500º C. When meething with carbon dioxide in the air, it shall produce basic magnesium carbonate.
Use: Used in pharmaceutical industry as anti-acid agent and laxatives, for gastric acid too much and duodenal ulcer, and often used together with calcium carbonate easily causing astriction, and meanwhile can b e used as synthetics and intermediates and additives in other chemical industry.
